Description
Lazarus stands alive again, wrapped in the warmth of reunion as his sisters cling to him in wonder and relief. One woman lifts her hand in astonished praise while the other rests against him, overcome by the mercy that has entered their grief. The scene reflects the aftermath of Jesus calling Lazarus out of the tomb at Bethany, when mourning was transformed into witness and death yielded to the voice of the Son of God. Mary and Martha embody both sorrow and faith, while Lazarus becomes a living sign of Christ’s authority over the grave. This artwork serves well for teaching on resurrection, faith in Christ, grief ministry, Easter themes, and the hope promised in John 11.
